Magic Lemonade!

This is Magic Lemonade, also known as red clover lemonade.
Why is it magic, you ask?
Scroll down to see!

Red Clover Lemonade

130 red clovers
640ml (~2 ¾ cup) water
200ml (~ ¾ cup + 1tbsp) lemon juice
honey

 Thoroughly wash the clovers.
Then put them in a pot, together with the water, and boil for 8 minutes.
This is the first part of the magic: the red clovers turn into white clovers! (sorry about the bad quality, the steam wouldn't let me take good pictures)
All you need is the juice, so either use a fine mesh sieve or a cheesecloth to get out all the clover parts.
Now you're probably asking yourself, why the liquid is yellow, and not the pretty colour in the first picture.
Because the magic happens now.
 Pour in the lemon juice...
 ...and watch the juice transform!
yellow + yellow = bright pink! Who knew
Then just add honey (I added quite a bit, because yumm, honey~) and water to taste, and either drink it straight away, or refrigerate.

Have a video of the magic:

On a last note: pregnant people, or people using blood thinners, should not drink this lemonade.

And another Easter post!

This time, it's all about the booty.
Yes, Easter booty.

Okay, this is a friendly reminder, that I am 24 and my sister is 29.
And THIS is our Easter haul:

 ...yup.
My sister's half (the Nutella and Frozen DVD belong to both of us)
 And my half.

I love my grandmas, I really do, but they're ridiculous when it comes to Easter. Every year we ask them to please not buy as much chocolate (I'm trying to lose weight over here!), but it seems like every year it just gets more and more!
Our parents actually listened this time, and instead of chocolate, I got shirts for example! Awesome!
I really don't want to come off as ungrateful, because I am thankful for all that absofudginglutely delicious chocolate...but soon I'll have a heart attack. (Because once I HAVE chocolate, I WILL eat it)

Oh, and if you think 24 and 29 is a bit old for Easter (I'm getting free chocolate and other things, I don't see why that should be a problem), both our parents also still hunt for Easter eggs.
Yeah, we're just awesome like that 8D *puts on shades*
Do you know that awesome Disney paint? The checkered one? Well, I got one this year 8D
See? Checkered paint!! (my sister always has the best ideas, seriously)

Okay, this concludes my last Easter post this year. I think.

Easter presents part 2

I love Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and so does my sister. So naturally, I wanted to make something from the new series, and what better to hide than Mikey's zits!
Yes, you read that right, zits.
In this one episode, Mikey puts some rejected mutagen on himself, so it'd make him 'super cool', and then breaks out in zits.

Which in his thought bubble look like this.

So I thought I'd make a few Mikey zits out of latex, so they're squeezable. I've only ever made two teeny tiny shrunken heads out of latex before, so I have actually no idea what I'm doing.
In the end, I only made two zits, but as soon as I figure out how to make okay looking Mikeys, I'll fill the entire Super Cooled jar with them :D
Anyway, looky here:

Little, tiny, sadly broken, Mikey zit.
The jar is way smaller than in the episode (it's actually a Skippy peanut butter jar 8D), but it's what I had lying around, and I think it's cute.
 SQUISH
SQUASH

I actually hid the zits inside some actual flowers. You know, like Thumbelina.
Bet my sister is the only person who was hunting for Easter Zits 8D

Easter presents part 1

I'm a bit weird.
Nothing new, I know.
Anyway, since...always really, every time I gave someone something on Easter, it was from 'The Easter bunny of Doom'.
I even made black bunny cookies with red eyes before (even beheaded one, and hid it next to an axe).
Don't look at me like that, I told you I was weird!
So these are the two eggs my parents will be getting this year:

This egg has a bit of an odd shape, and sadly didn't take the black as well as the other one.

If you want to make eggs of doom, you'll need:

boiled eggs
vinegar
liquid food colour
disposable gloves
powdered food colour
Vodka

Put on your gloves, put a little bit of vinegar onto your palm, then take an egg (still hot) and roll it around in your hands.
Then put some food colour on the egg, and keep rolling or tossing it between your hands.
Let the egg dry.
For decorating, just do as you would with a cake.
Mix the food colour with a little bit of vodka and then paint.
The egg colour will mix with your paint colour a bit, so if you're painting white onto black, always wipe your brush between strokes, or you'll have grey paint.

Oh Honey, Honey

Yes, honey is made by bees.
Only by bees.
But still, I'll call this recipe Dandelion Honey, because it just is more like honey than a jam or jelly.

Dandelion Honey

200 dandelion blossoms
1L (~4 cups) water
1 lemon
1kg (2.2 lbs) sugar

First, thoroughly wash your dandelions. You'll probably have quite a few creepy crawlies on there (I sure did)
Cut your lemon into thin slices (remove the seeds), and throw it into a pot, together with the flowers. Add the water, and boil for 15 minutes.
Leave over night or better yet, for 24 hours.
Remove the dandelions and lemons, put them on a cheesecloth or whatever you have handy (I used an old, but washed(!), shirt), and squeeze out the juice.
It's the juice you want, throw out the rest.
Add the sugar (and don't be stupid like me, take a big pot!), and let it simmer.
(After I transferred the syrup to a bigger pot) After one hour
After two hours.
Let it simmer, until the desired consistency is reached.
You can test the consistency by letting a spoon full of the honey cool on a plate.
Fill into jars, while the honey is still hot, and voilĂ , you're ready!
The 'honey' actually tastes like (spicy) lemon and honey! Delicious, really.

Spring is here! Even though it snowed yesterday...

Took some pictures in our (very pretty) garden today.

I have named this spider species 'Little Dotted Yellow Butt'

This is one of our neighbour's cats, Zoe, who loves hanging out at our pond.
Probably because it's full of newts, but I won't let her get any! (ugh, look at all that algae D: We should actually clean out the entire pond, but I don't want to because I don't want to accidentally kill any newts...but if it continues like this, there'll soon be more algae than water)
And this one's name is 'Little Tiny Deathbug'
This one I dubbed the 'Kolibri-Kiwi-Bee'. My mom told me the actual name, which I have already forgotten again, but I like mine better anyway.
